Bar and Cafe
Seven's cafe/bar, Bar Seven is open from 10.30am daily until midnight.
We take pride in the fact that all food is locally sourced and freshly prepared. And there is a carefully chosen selection of beers, wines, spirits, soft drinks and coffees.
Relax with a drink and food before or after a film or event, or simply enjoy Bar Seven for its own sake.
Every time you use the bar, you are helping support the arts programme at Seven.

"I was invited by the lovely Kyla at MCG PR to go and check out Seven Arts in Chapel Allerton, have some food and see a performance of my choice. You can imagine how excited I was - I checked out the What's On section of their website and saw that an adaptation of Trainspotting was showing, I had to pick that one, I loved the film but couldn't imagine how it would be transferred to the stage.
So off we headed up to Chapel Allerton on Saturday evening. Seven Arts is very easy to find, and for me had a much more relaxed and welcoming environment than the two bars we went to in Chapel A. The interior is modern, decorated with citrus shades, when we first arrived there were a couple of people happily working in there and there was a general feeling of relaxation to the place. As the evening went on it livened up into a hip, older crowd.
Before we watched Trainspotting we had some food. I'd been looking forward to some lovely food all day, and was keen to see what they had to offer. I really like that they source locally and use organic where possible. We decided to share a starter and went for the Charcuterie board. Before that arrived though we were brought over the most gorgeous nibbles. Olives, Hummus, Toasted Pittas - my kinda heaven!
It tasted as good as it looked too!
Before we'd made much of a dent into that our Charcuterie Board arrived, accompanied with gorgeous wedges of bread. I really loved this as a starter, we were spoilt for choice really for something to share, the menu also has a cheese board and vegetable antipasti, both of which we would have loved.

After we'd finished these our mains arrived. I'd gone for Spaghetti with Crab and Chilli, and Pete the Bangers and Mash - true man food! I really enjoyed my Spaghetti, and loved that it was such a generous portion, it was nicely spicy without being so hot I had to gulp down my wine, which I'm always worried about when I order anything with chilli! We both really enjoyed the food, but were so stuffed from the hummus and olives and starter that I couldn't even contemplate a dessert.

I'd really recommend trying the food here, they do an excellent cafe menu with something for everyone, we'll certainly be going back for food.
We finished our meal and retreated outside for a sit in the evening warmth to finish our wine, I really loved the atmosphere outside, very laid back.
At 8pm we headed into the theatre section for the performance. The theatre is small and intimate, watching the performance in a smaller environment really heightened the drama of it. It worked so well. The adaptation was performed by a local theatre group, Spud Theatre. Oh my god - it was fantastic, dark, depressing, funny, twisted - everything that Trainspotting should be! We loved it! "
