Seven Live continues to go from strength to strength, attracting local and national talents to this hidden gem of a music night. This month, four more class acts for you listening pleasure!
These fine musicians are all graduates of the prestigious Birmingham Conservatoire, and have all been members of Joe Broughton’s Conservatoire Folk Ensemble, with whom they have played stages such as The Royal Albert Hall and Symphony Hall, and at festivals such as Cropredy, Towersey and Green Man. We are delighted to have this incredible trio headline Seven Live this September.
“Atmospheric heaven.” – FATEA Magazine
It’s not easy to sum up Scott Wainwright, other than to say he’s is a total dude. His highly accomplished guitar playing, tip-top song writing, is all wrapped up in oblique anecdotes and a deft comic touch that’s beyond typical banter. Always a treat and devastatingly entertaining. “A talented character who inspires good spirits.” – Yorkshire Evening Post
Alt-folk four piece with a bold style. Banjo, guitar and fiddle plus heartfelt group singing of original material and the occasional well chosen cover version. Fronted by singer songwriter, John Spowage, the band weave atmospheric arrangements around his inventive and evocative lyrics.
One of Leeds’ local treasures, with a fine pedigree of soul, funk and R&B based collaborations and performances. We’re starting our Autumn/Winter season of Seven Live in true style … so don’t be late for this amazing lady!
