Come and join the Beryl Browne Foundation for a creative, dynamic and vibrant performance, charting the lives of people from the Caribbean who came to England in the 50’s and 60’s to rebuild Britain after WW2. People who left behind families, friends, culture and a tradition of their own land to support the Mother land.
Memories is about acknowledging the journey of the parents. Their lives did not begin on arrival to England; it began in the Caribbean back in the 1930s and 40s, so this is where we start. This performance will allow you to touch, feel and experience parts of a journey you would not otherwise encounter. It will be an explosion of colour, culture and contrast.
